Calistoga Police Officers assisted Napa County Sheriff Deputies on Foothill Blvd near Petrified Forest Rd. Officers remained on scene until Deputies cleared their traffic stop.

Officers responded for a suspicious subject in the 1500 block of Cedar St. Citizens reported a subject loitering in the area. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate any subject.

Officers responded for a disturbance on Lincoln Ave near Washington St. Citizens reported a female subject who appeared upset and was yelling at random people. Officers contacted the female subject and determined that she was upset about the bus stop not being where she thought it was. Officers assisted the citizen with getting to the bus stop and her eventual destination.

Officers responded for a parking complaint in the 1300 block of Lincoln Ave. Officers located the vehicle and cited it for violation of posted parking restrictions.

Officers responded to a possible hazard on Grant St near Centennial Cir. Citizens reported children running in the street and vehicles blocking the roadway. Officers found no blocked roadway and no children running in the street.

Fire, EMS and Officers responded to a medical call in the 1300 block of Washington St. The involved party was located, evaluated and transported to an area hospital.

Officers responded for a hot dog in the 1200 block of Elm St. Officers located the vehicle and two dogs clearly in distress. Officers retrieved the dogs and brought them to the Station. The dog owners were later cited for leaving their animals in the vehicle.

Officers responded for a vandalism call in the 200 block of High St. The window of a local citizen was damaged. Officers took a report, however there are no leads at this time.

Fire, EMS and Officers responded for a medical call in the 100 block of Foothill Blvd. The involved party was contacted, evaluated and declined transport.

Officers responded for an animal call in the 1900 block of Emerald Dr. A citizen reported a snake on the front porch. Officers were unable to catch the snake, which fled into a nearby field. We have received an increase in live snake calls recently, possibly due to the weather. Citizens are advised to exercise caution and contact the Police Department if any live snakes are spotted in your neighborhood.

Officers responded for a reckless driver on Petrified Forest Rd near Foothill Blvd. Citizens reported a truck attempting to pass over a double yellow line. Officers were unable to locate any vehicle matching the description.

Officers responded for a hazard on Foothill Blvd near Tubbs Ln. Several tree limbs and some debris were in the lanes. Officers cleared the roadway.

Citizens located a wallet at CalMart and turned it into the Police Department. The owner was contacted and collected the wallet a short time later.

Officers responded for a reckless driver on Highway 29 heading north from St Helena. Officers located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop on Highway 29 near Madrone. After an investigation, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.

Officers responded for a reckless driver stopped in the 2600 block of Foothill Blvd. After an investigation, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.

Officers responded for a disturbance at the Napa County Fairgrounds. Citizens reported several subjects involved in some sort of argument. Officers located several subjects, confirmed the argument was verbal only and had the parties go their separate ways.

Officers responded for a suspicious subject in the 1200 block of Mitzi Dr. The subject kept walking from the river to a pickup truck nearby. Officers located the subject and determined the subject was working on his own pickup truck. Officers advised the subject of municipal codes regarding vehicle maintenance and the subject left the area.

Citizens reported a hot dog in a vehicle at Cal Mart. The subject left prior to the Citizens contacting the Police Department. Citizens are reminded that it is dangerous to leave an animal inside a locked car.
