The Calistoga Police Department is now collecting fees for dog licenses. The Police Department will forward the fees along with the appropriate documentation to the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation who will then mail the dog owner the new license. Or apply on line.
Per California State, Health and Safety regulations (H&S 121690): Every dog owner, after his/her dog attains the age of four months, shall secure a license for the dog as provided by the city or county in which you reside.
You may purchase a license in person at the Calistoga Police Department. Please have the following required certificates:
1. A current rabies certificate valid for at least one year or longer, from the date of purchase.
2. Written proof of surgical sterilization (spay or neuter) from the veterinarian in order to qualify for reduced license fee.
Fees range from $8.25 to $137.25, depending on whether or not your dog is spayed or neutered and micro-chipped.
