Calistoga Fire Department operates a combination Career/Paid Call Fire Department. Staffing includes a paid fire chief, 3 paid firefighters and 15 paid call fire fighters. Calistoga Fire operate five pieces of fire equipment out of the fire station at 1113 Washington St. and respond to approximately 1,000 emergencies each year. Within the city limits, Calistoga Fire covers approximately 2 square miles while additionally responding automatic aid to Napa County and Sonoma County for an approximate total of 96 square miles of coverage.
