Community Resources Commission

The Community Resources Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Planning Commission and the City Council and City staff in matters pertaining to the development/rehabilitation of parks and recreation facilities, recreation and youth services, senior citizens and human services, cultural arts services, neighborhood improvement, grants or other funding, and other matters as may be referred to the Commission by the City Council, Planning Commission or City Manager from time to time. No decision by the Commission is final and binding unless approved by the City Council or unless authority for the decision has been granted to the Commission provided by City Ordinance.

There are seven members who are bona fide residents of the City. Members are nominated by the Mayor, approved by the City Council, and are appointed to two-year terms. The Commission meets regularly in the Community Center at 5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month (or as scheduled by the Commission).
