If you live in the Calistoga area, there is a wealth of information and opportunity on this web site designed especially for you. We encourage you to view the entire site and pay special attention to the City of Calistoga Meetings & Events Calendar, which contains information about City Council and Planning Commission meetings. The Community Calendars section provides access to the academic, sports and social events of local schools and non-profit organizations within the upper Napa Valley.

Calistoga ResidentsCalistoga residents are known for their hospitality and generosity. If you’re new to the area, here are some ways to help you adjust to your new surroundings.

  • Walk next door and introduce yourself to your neighbors. When they’re on vacation offer to water their plants and pick up their newspapers.
  • Keep your neighborhood looking attractive; keep your lawn mowed, weeds pulled, and bushes trimmed. If you’re not an outdoorsy person, there are local teenagers and landscaping firms in the area who can do the work for you.
  • Many people have to get up early in the morning for work, so don’t make any outside noise or play loud music after 10:00pm in the evenings.
  • If you have pets, make sure they don’t roam free. If you have a dog, check with your neighbors to see if it barks while you’re away from home. If so, keep your dog indoors and consider playing music or getting your dog a playmate, so that it will have company during the day.
  • If you’re hosting a party/event in your neighborhood, let your neighbors know in advance so they can plan for the additional noise and traffic. Even better, invite them to the party.
  • If you, your children, or your pets damage anything that belongs to a neighbor, offer to pay to repair or replace it.
  • If you notice something suspicious, call the Police Department at 942-2810. If it is an emergency, dial 911.
