Dispatch Services
The dispatchers at Calistoga Police Department provide a number of services to the public, the city and the department. They answer all in-coming phone calls, greeting the public and directing their call to the appropriate person or agency. They enter records of all calls for service into a computer aided dispatch system, which tracks each call to conclusion. They are responsible for the records section of the department, handling all correspondence and filing. Dispatch also manages the parking citation program, being the liaison between the city and a private firm that processes parking citations.

Drug Enforcement / D.A.R.E.
Starting in early 1997, the Calistoga Police Department in conjunction with the Calistoga Elementary School, instituted a D.A.R.E. Program for the sixth grade students. The DARE Program has been expanded to include students at the Calistoga Middle School.

Operations
The Calistoga Police Department embraces the concept of community oriented policing. The department is structured to maximize the involvement of our officers and staff both in the community and within the organization. It is this involvement and participation that helps us to be an effective community based police department with strong community support and a proactive policing philosophy.

Youth Services
Includes the D.A.R.E. Program, First Offender Juvenile Diversion Program, and participation on the School Attendance Review Board
