The City Planning Commission is a five member panel appointed by the Mayor for two-year staggered terms. The Commission is charged with guiding land use and development in the City. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to City Council concerning the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance or zoning map, amendments, takes action on development proposals and prepares special studies on plans. The Commission holds biweekly public meetings.  (Meeting Schedule)

Regular meetings of the Planning Commission are usually held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at 5:30 P.M. in the Calistoga Community Center, located at 1307 Washington Street.
