Spring Street Construction - October / November
Cedar Street to End of Cul-de-sac
The City is currently out to bid for utility replacement and road construction of Spring Street from Cedar Street to the dead-end cul-de-sac. The project includes replacement of an undersized water main, replacement of the sewer main, new sewer and water services, replacement of broken sidewalk and roadway rehabilitation. As part of the project it will be necessary to trim existing street trees hanging over the street for equipment clearance. Construction is anticipated to begin in early October and last through November.
Once the project starts through completion, Spring Street between Cedar Street and the cul-de-sac will be closed to all traffic except local traffic Monday through Friday 7 AM to 6 PM. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will be allowed to access Spring Street during construction but there may be some delays. No on-street parking will be allowed during construction hours. The parking lot at Pioneer Park will be closed during construction hours and limited parking will be available during non-construction hours. Because Spring Street is a dead-end street there will be no detours.
We thank the community for their patience and ask that they use extra caution when near the construction area and obey all traffic signs and flagmen. The City of Calistoga Public Works Department wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your support in our effort to complete this necessary infrastructure improvement.
